Martina Berto Aims 13,8% Sales Increase

PT Martina Berto Limited, the issuer of cosmetics, predicts sales to rise 13.8% to Rp290 billion during the first half of 2011, compared with sales in the same period last year. The increase in sales was driven latest products liability, construction of two Martha Tilaar Shop (MTS), and the latest product offerings from the company.

Director Bryan Tilaar Martina Berto said net profit is predicted to rise over 100% during the first half and then pushed the company to increase product sales.

"We have new plans in the future by acquiring a new plant to develop herbal products and kosmestik next year," he said when met Bisnis yesterday.

However, he declined to say how many are prepared to fund the acquisition of the plant. This year the company plans to build four more in the area of ​​Tangerang MTS, Palembang, Semarang, and Borneo.

Finance Director Handiwijaja adding the company still leaves proceeds from initial public offering of Rp194, 39 billion to finance the payment of debt of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk amounting to Rp54 billion and working capital of the company amounting to Rp1, 608 billion. "Total funds have been used for Rp55, 60 billion," he said.

Investor Relations Martina Berto Desrial Muchtar said the company has used capital expenditures for expansion of company activities, especially new products company. Currently, the company also has one store in Singapore and plans to open again but not in the near future. "The Company plans to open branches in Singapore next Shop MT, but not in the near future," he said.
