Telkom Indonesia: Prepare Rp. 1 Trillion for Acquisition

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) has budgeted Rp 1 trillion for next year's planned acquisition. "We're going to be the acquisition of local companies and we have allocated around Rp 1 trillion," said Director TLKM Rinaldi Firmansyah in Jakarta.

Unfortunately, Rinaldi has not called the acquisition will be made in any sector, which is clearly still in touch with the main business TLKM the TIME (Telecommunications, Information, Media and Edutainment). "This acquisition is also non-operator well, so based on the TIME course," he continued.

Reluctance TLKM acquiring other carriers is because SOEs are reluctant to monopolize the telecommunications business in Indonesia. Moreover, halo-halo is the company currently holds more than 50% of the telecommunications business in Indonesia.

Furthermore, Rinaldi said that if his side are in talks with parties start to be acquired. "There is already a party to talks with us," he said.

TLKM himself eventually acquired a local company to look after his desire to acquire telecommunications company Cambodian delayed. Previously, TLKM target may make acquisitions in the third quarter.
